My husband loves to golf and I love him, so I have recently taken up the game of golf and have been able to quickly improve my game. I believe that it can be attributed to the Lord's goodness and grace and to Matt, my husband, who is a patient teacher and to increased endurance, flexiblity and a strong core. I am thankful to be able to be active and enjoy this great game with my husband, children and others. A few short years ago I was so deconditioned that I could only do 2 holes. I now golf up to 36 holes in the desert heat.

Joni and Friends is one of my favorite websites. I find it to be a source of great inspiration.  It really puts things in perspective and helps me to focus on what is really important in life. It makes me thankful that I can move about easily and gives me a desire to help those who cannot.  This is a Christian organization that gives help to all people. It was founded by Joni Erickson Tada who has spent 4 decades in a wheel chair. Wheels For The World collects, repairs and distributes wheelchairs to needy people all over the world.

It is my desire for 2010 to help coordinate a wheelchair drive. If you are interested in helping with this, please contact me. We need volunteers to help organize and advertise. We also need a storeage location to collect the wheelchairs and a truck to haul them in.
